Ed Sheeran target of $20 million copyright lawsuit

LOS ANGELES (AP) — British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is facing a $20 million lawsuit alleging he used another song as the basis for his international hit "Photograph." The suit accusing him of copyright infringement was filed Wednesday in Los Angeles by Martin Harrington and Tom Leonard, composers of the song "Amazing." City News Service cites court documents that say "Amazing" and "Photograph" are nearly identical in pitch, tempo and structure.

Led Zeppelin lawsuit begins trial today

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Generations of aspiring guitarists have tried to copy the riff from Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." Starting on Tuesday, a Los Angeles court will try to decide whether the members of Led Zeppelin themselves ripped off the riff.
