After Taylor Swift’s sold out RED World Tour show at the Pepsi Center Sunday night, it might be tough to settle for bands that walk out onto the stage and just perform. From the moment Swift began belting out the vocally demanding “State of Grace,” one of 12 from the 17-song set list that came from the new album, “Red,” Swift put the crowd on notice that she’s making the transition from girl next door to coolly calculating commercial artist.
KBCO stalwart, Ed Sheeran, crooned the Jimmy Kimmel crowd with his gargantuan hit, “A Team” on Monday night and appeared to “get the upperhand” with his inspired performance.
Nominations for the 55th Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday night, and it’s almost as if the Academy has actually been listening to music this year. Denver-based folk group, the Lumineers, scored two huge nominations for Best Americana Album and Best New Artist.
