Prince will perform at SXSW 2013, sources say

A mysterious Twitter account has leaked a new Prince song called "Same Page Different Book." Prince performs at the19th annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Monday, March 15, 2004, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. Photo by Kevin Mazur, AP Photo/Wireimage.com.

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, according to hitfix.com, Prince will perform at SXSW for the first time on Saturday.

The Sound City Players supergroup will perform in support of Dave Grohl’s film at the Sundance Festival.

For the most part Wednesday night’s 12-12-12 Concert was a dull affair — the Rolling Stones only played like one song, Kristen Stewart wore the Kill Bill jumpsuit and Kanye West wore a skirt and failed at igniting the classic rock-loving crowd.

But anyone who was able to stay awake for the six-something hour concert got a chance to see Paul McCartney replace Kurt Cobain as the Nirvana frontman.
