Colorado music festivals cover the spectrum in 2013. They range from the traditional (Telluride Bluegrass) to the neighborhoody (our own Underground Music Showcase); from the national touring kind (Warped Tour) to the mountain rave-y kind (Sonic Bloom); from the down-home country kind (Greeley Stampede) to the hoity industry kind (FMQB Triple A Conference).

Nothing like the release of an album the day before a concert to get a band pumped up, and so when the Cold War Kids hit the stage before a sold-out show at the Gothic Theatre on Wednesday night, it was obvious that Tuesday’s debut of “Dear Miss Lonelyhearts” was a factor.

April is shaping up to be a pretty big month for music here in Colorado, so let’s kick it off right this week with the best Denver shows from March 29 to April 5, including Nick Cave, Low and more.
