Photo essay: Cyndi Lauper @ the Ogden Theatre

A mix of old and new made up the set list as the ever-so-bubbly Cyndi Lauper played Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Tuesday evening. With an ample ‘do of platinum curls and a baby face that appears to defy time, Lauper hopped across the stage and sang of selection that included “Just Your Fool,” “Crossroads” and “All Through the Night.”

Fabulous voice, she should’ve worked more with talented songwriters instead of attempting to write her own material. But I respect her decision to follow her muse; she has a lot more artist in her than the present crop of techno/syntho-commercial pop stars.

And no, that’s not a timeless baby face LOL.
