Mile Marker: Nellie McKay

We were thrilled to have the ever-eccentric Nellie McKay come through Uneven Studio on a cold February afternoon. She had just driven down from Boulder after a Valentine’s Day eTown performance at the Boulder Theater the night before. McKay is a multi-instrumentalist, and we smiled when she sauntered into the studio with nothing but a delicate wooden ukulele in hand. And although this session took place in the dead of winter, it’s easy to imagine these songs crackling through your front porch radio on a spring afternoon. Enjoy these four live cuts, download them if you wish — they’re all yours.
