Remember that New Year’s resolution you made about getting out more, having more fun, hanging out with famous people and getting more free stuff?

Well, Reverb is here to help. On Thursday night, Jan 27, we’ll be continuing our monthly celebration of local music and rump shaking with Steal This Track: A Reverb Dance Party at the Hi-Dive. Our luminescent guest DJs this month will be Andy Rok of world-famous Flobots and funk juggernaut Bop Skizzum, and Alf, host of KTCL’s Locals Only show.

Last month’s party was insanely fun. Just ask any of the fun-loving folks who were there. It was the place to be if you make music in this town or just love it, with members of Lil’ Slugger, Port Au Prince, Fingers of the Sun, 200 Million Years, Iuengliss, Flashlights, Le Divorce, American Tomahawk, the Photo Atlas, Everything Absent or Distorted (the first band ever featured in Steal This Track), Bop Skizzum, Flobots, 3OH!3 and many, many more in the house!

So be there on Thursday as the Reverb crew, Andy Rok and Alf commandeer one of South Broadway’s most revered indie rock institutions with a night of cheap drinks, local music and absurdly good times. Each month, we’ll have some of Denver’s best musicians, DJs, journalists, actors, managers, fashionistas, record label owners — a veritable who’s who of Denver — as our guests, spinning their favorite new music for your pleasure.

In addition to tons of free stuff — music, t-shirts, stickers, coozies — the lovely and talented bartenders at the Hi-Dive will be pouring $2 PBRs and $3 shots all night long.

And the celebration of all things Denver and musical doesn’t stop there. As Thursday night slouches toward Friday morning, DJ Savior Breath (a.k.a. Reverb columnist Eryc Eyl) takes over, turning the Hi-Dive into a swirling, sweaty dance party with Colorado music you can dance to, mixed with indie gems, top 40 guilty pleasures, mashups, hip-hop, ’80s trash and whatever else it takes to make you dance till you drop those pants!

If you like Steal This Track, you’re probably cheap like us, and we love you for that. Just for you, this party is absolutely free. Just like Steal This Track. Come get some!
