The run-up to New Year’s Eve gave Leftover Salmon’s Vince Herman plenty of opportunities to flex his instrumental and vocal muscles. Photo by Joshua Elioseff.
A packed Boulder Theater greeted Leftover Salmon on Wednesday during its rowdy New Year’s Eve pre-party. Emmitt-Nershi Band opened, with leader Drew Emmitt coming on with Leftover’s Vince Herman — just the two of them for “Hey Woody Guthrie.” The two full-band sets ably showcased Leftover’s signature “polyethnic Cajun slamgrass.” – Joshua Elioseff
