Comprehensive cover medleys and acoustic ninjitsu? It must be Trace Bundy. Photo by Joshua Elioseff.
Boulder-based musician Trace Bundy, a.k.a. the blindingly-fast, finger-tapping Acoustic Ninja, played his holiday acoustic show at the Boulder Theater on Friday, including a haunting version of “O Come O Come Emanuel” that enthralled the packed house. After opener Damien Jurado busted out his set, Bundy got to work on his improbable numbers, which featured an acoustic medley covering more than fifty years of pop music, from “La Bamba” and “Here Comes the Sun” to “Sweet Caroline” and “U Can’t Touch This.” – Joshua Elioseff
