Wow, what a setlist! I really don't get the impression that they're going through the motions like so many other reformed bands.

Who wants to live with one foot in hell just for thesake of nostalgia? Our time is forever now! -- Alice Childress What happened to the Pixies Reunion tour? That was fun a few years ago. Now it seems like a money grab with gimmicks. I'm ready to see some new material support these shows. Maybe Frank is out of ideas, but I'd love to see what Joey Santiago has come up with over the years. All that being said, I would have liked to see the Come on Pilgrim portion.

I totally agree, Joe. I've seen Pixies before, and they are rad. I appreciate their catalog and this Doolittle package...but I realized two things after Tuesday's show: That I am actually just a raging Kim Deal fan (and I wished I was seeing The Breeders instead), and secondly, there's a reason No Age is one of my favorite bands of the last decade. They tore shit up. Nouns was one of the best records that came out last year. But being on the bill does show that Pixies (or someone in their camp) gets it at least. It's too bad so many people were too busy buying $7 beers to pay attention during No Age's killer opening set.

The Pixies were great, but they were exactly what I expected. They played the songs that I thought they would played, and they went through the same motions as they did before when they played Denver last time. I was more impressed by No Age because I thought their album was meh, but their live show blew me away. Each to their own...

I think I was more impressed by No Age than the Pixies. The Pixies put on a great show, but I didn't realize how hawt No Age was!!! I wish they played at show later at Rhino, I would have been all over that.
