Video: Jim McTurnan and the Kids That Killed the Man @ the CMJ Music Marathon
By John Wenzel | October 21st, 2009 | No Comments »As we told you the first week of September, some of Denver’s finest are representing at the 2009 CMJ Music Marathon in New York this week, including Nathaniel Rateliffe & the Wheel, who recently made public their signing to Rounder Records. (Read Brooklyn Vegan’s rave about their set here.) Also representing: the Photo Atlas, the Knew and Jim McTurnan and the Kids Who Killed the Man.
McTurnan, a former principal in the dearly departed Cat-A-Tac, is also opening for Everything Absent or Distorted at the Bluebird on Saturday. Check out the video above for a snippet of McTurnan’s New York set (courtesy of Adam Ritchie), as well as his thoughts on New York vs. London and some “hey, we’re in a commercial!”-style plugs for SonicBids.
