Live Review: Brandi Carlile @ Swallow Hill

Brandi Carlile got a little help from her friends when she played an intimate — and massively sold out — show at Swallow Hill on April 16. Photo by Quetzo Herejk.

Brandi Carlile has one of the greatest voices of her generation, and she has the songwriting chops to match. And so it makes sense that the songwriter — who wrote and performed the massive hit “The Story” — would pay a visit to Swallow Hill in Denver.

The show was intimate and warm and very packed. And here is Reverb contributor Quetzo Herejk’s photo essay on the evening.

I’m so bummed I wasn’t able to attend this show– Brandi is like Patsy Cline, but, eek…better. And being musically sandwiched between twins has to be some sort of psychic mind trip! I saw Brandi last summer with Sheryl Crow, and she blew Crow’s set to bits.

Quetzo- thank you for the photos! Brandi looks lovely.
