I was just talking about this phenomenon with my friend Alex the other day-- making records is like recording your life as it is at that moment in time. So a band may move quite far from their original sound and purpose, shifting as we do in our own lives. That's a hard pill for music fans to swallow sometimes, because we want the music we love to always feel as good as it did. I appreciated you honestly here, Ric. We all have strange relationships with the bands we hold close, and combine that with hometown pride and your view can get skewed But you still summed up the show perfectly.

And Denise, that first shot is haunting. Taking pictures of pretty people can come quite easily, but your shots of this show are beyond that. They are breath-taking!
