Fantastic show... Ms. De Giovanni took some great photos too.

Both groups were very talented. Clare has the seductive voice you just can't help but adore (and, if you're not careful, are sure to fall in love with); and Shara's got amazingly wonderful range, power and emotion -- not to mention being imbibed with pure gravitas and "star power."

Both women have clever lyricism and strong songwriting -- this is the musi of thinking people. The back up instrumentalists were very good. I still want to figure out how the woman on the Cello got it to make the creaking sounds of a sailboat's masts at sea.

A nod to Olivier Manchon, Clare's husband, is especially warranted: This guy oozes talent. Whether its belting out an emotive yet playful violin solo on "You Say You Love Me, playing eclectic sounds on a logger's 'saw' or belting out a combination solo on two instruments at once, he's got the chops.

Nice to see these kind of small venue tours still happening. Thanks for the write up.
