Regular readers of this blog may be most familiar with Loudon Wainwright III as the papa of musicians Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright, or the guy that contributed the ramshackle, melancholy slice of folk melody known as “The Swimming Song” (and “Lullaby”) to “The Squid and the Whale” soundtrack.
But Wainwright has been peddling his creative wares since the late 1960s as a songwriter, actor and humorist. He stopped by the Colfax Events Center on Friday for a concert, and Reverb photographer Mark T. Osler was there to catch it. View his photo essay below.
