Mike Ness @ the Gothic Theatre

Mike Ness, looking mildly worse for the wear, rocked a packed Gothic Theatre last weekend. Photos by Brian Carney.
“I love writing records as much as I love performing onstage,” Social Distortion leader Mike Ness told The Denver Post a few months ago, which must be true, becuase he does an awful lot of both.

Jen Korte and the Loss @ the Walnut Room

The song is, of course, “She Moves in Her Own Way,” but the boys from Brighton (as [...]

The Presets, Walter Meego @ the Larimer Lounge

The Presets proved that electro is far from dead at the Larimer Lounge on Tuesday. Photos by Laurie Scavo and Julio Enriquez.
Modular has been experiencing a heavy brush with popularity as a result of the best Aussie exports in Cut Copy and the Presets. The show packed the Larimer Lounge (on a school night, no less) last Tuesday, and the duo from Down Under delivered a powerful punch with what felt like a never ending supply of synth-tronic beats, throbbing like the hangover lingering around [...]
