It really shows something about you how you go about last.fm and the article defending a band who did no matter what their label says unlawfully sample good respectable artists, the way you call the entire chiptune scene ‘nerds’ when your probably another scene kid who conforms blatantly then denies it. At least chiptune artists are good at what they do, unlike your journalism skills which lack any actual research and its just you fangirling for CC to appeal to the masses. You arent a journalist, you cant write articles because your so arrogant your own opinion is law, you lack any writing talent.

Every single anger driven troller comment here is awesome, but I particularly like NeilDLR’s comment, “Since when did stealing become hip and ground breaking?” I guess Dr. Dre’s “reworked” piece from George Clinton was neither hip, nor ground breaking despite the fact that it is frequently brought forward as the poster child for rap industry sampling and the dawning of a new era of music.

I also feel like most people missed the point of your article: The band delivered what the crowd desired, despite irritating setbacks. Well written!

I’m late to the party, as usual, but then again, who cares? Don’t know why I’m writing this really. Oh wait, I’m bored. Here goes.

I don’t quite see why so many people love Crystal Castles so much. I don’t really like their musical style or any of their songs really. I can say this about some 8-bit artists too; in fact, more than half of 8-bit music is music in which I’m not particularly interested. This is an opinion- I’m annoyed with the “8-bit community” right now for basically flaming this post, even after the one real thing “wrong” with it was rectified. Yes, there was some misinformation in the post. However, other than the last two paragraphs, it was a fine article and showed the author’s opinion of the show. Even the last paragraph, showing that he didn’t like 8-bit music as much as CC, was still just an opinion. Sure, it could make some of the people in the 8bc angry, but who cares? It’s not like the reaction to CC in general has warranted much better. I just read it and moved on. It was actually kind of funny.

Overall, I’m pretty annoyed– I wouldn’t have known who CC was if it weren’t for all the angry 8-bit collective posts about them. A band like this loves attention, good or bad, so congratulations– you’ve added to their fame (or infamy?) by being so upset.

Finally, I’d like to quote a bit of Family Guy:

Crystal Castles KILLED IT!!! There 40 minute set was perfect – they don’t really have any more songs than that! Alice killed it !! and all this talk of 8-bit, chiptune, whatever is taking away fromt he fact that the reason they are so popular is that their music is INCREDIBLE. Other 8-bit shit just sounds like a messed up nintendo. Hater let them live!!

Month Day Year was horrible however, which could be seen by half the crowd going outside for a ‘smoke’ break.
