Ghost Buffalo @ Old Curtis Street Bar

Ghost Buffalo’s Marie Litton showed some sisterly love on Friday at Old Curtis Street Bar. Photos by Doug Beam.

Brooding, country-tinged Denver act Ghost Buffalo has been sounding a little bit less country and a lot more rock ‘n’ roll these days, leaning on fiery guitars, hard hitting beats and melodies more familiar to ’90s alt-rock fans than any rootsy, straw-chewin’ types.

The band played a short, powerful set at Old Curtis Street Bar on Saturday (that included one brand new song) in support of lead singer Marie Litton’s little brother’s band, Sonic Vomit. Not a high turnout for a Ghost Buffalo show due to the volume of other quality shows that night, but the Old Curtis sound system did a great job. Check out contributor Doug Beam’s photo essay.
