If this is the same Does It Offend You Yeah? that opened for The Prodigy in Auckland New Zealand (25/02/2010) well you missed a ceiling lifting high energy concert!! The best opener and concert I've seen in years!! (like when an artist has painted and people say “I could have done that”) Critics should have to show their own ability before criticising!!!

they have some killer tones, and they’re mega-fun, but they’re little more than another har mar superstar in my book.

absolutely. i think this is one of the many negative byproducts of buzz. dioyy has the buzz, and they’re fun, sure, and they drew more people than ym. but the kids didn’t stick around to hear shunda k’s epic rhymes in yo majesty. truthfully, she’s a better live mc than almost anybody on the radio. her tone is the same as it is on the record, and she has the flow. that stuff cannot be faked in a show. her rhymes may be silly, but in terms of flow, she’s more on the level of gift of gab and jay-z than 50 cent and ludacris.

I was a little bummed to have to rush out from DIOYY’s set (doubled by the fact that I got across town faster than expected and ended up seeing Monofog for the 19 billionth time elsewhere), so it’s good to know there was a bit of samey-ness going on.
