Playing to a sold-out crowd is one thing.

But playing to a sold-out crowd on your birthday is something different entirely – especially when it means you’ve sold more tickets as a headliner than you ever have before.

Saturday was good to Rob Drabkin, who sold out the Soiled Dove Underground in Lowry. It was his birthday show, and he moved more than 300 tickets as the headliner — a new high for the local singer-songwriter…

Reverb contributing photographer Brian Carney caught Drabkin’s set and noted that the singer’s father joined him onstage, playing tenor sax for much of the night.
